This position is responsible for coordination and successful execution of all Quality improvement and risk management activities which include performance improvement, accreditation and regulatory compliance activities, risk management, and Medical Staff Peer Review. The Director provides local support to the network Risk Management functions, and performs other responsibilities as required for the effective, safe, and efficient functioning/operation of the department and organization. This position collaborates and participates with the region leadership as needed. This role serves Community Hospital North and Community Heart & Vascular Hospital.
Seven (7) or more years of nursing experience with a minimum of three (3) years of progressive quality management administrative experience in a healthcare setting required. Experience with accreditation and regulatory compliance survey processes preferred.
BSN and masters prepared or level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a master’s degree, preferably in a healthcare related field. CPHQ/CPHRM certification within 3 years of employment.
Currently licensed as an RN by the Health Professions Bureau in Indiana
Knowledge of and ability to apply Quality/Performance Improvement philosophy, principles, and technology
Able to demonstrate and provide examples of continuous personal development and improvement in each of the essential functions
Understanding of external/internal customer’s needs, i.e. nursing, regulatory and compliance
