The Performance Improvement Specialist serves as a highly visible, energetic champion for process improvement and outcomes management, as well as regulatory and standard compliance throughout the organization. The specialist utilizes a data-driven approach to collaboratively evaluate processes and outcomes, develop and/or revise workflows, conduct tests of change, measure results, support implementation of new processes and facilitate sustainment. The role serves as a liaison across disciplines and hierarchy to ensure knowledge, understanding and unwavering focus toward achieving the organization's quality goals. This leader will assess and evaluate continuous regulatory/accreditation readiness and provide on-going support and education at the point of care. The specialist will facilitate and/or lead organizational education related to change management, process improvement strategies and tools and serve as a content expert for interdisciplinary staff. While the goal is to spend a significant amount of time at the point of care, the role also has a component of data collection, record review, systems' investigations, data analysis and data presentation.
Bachelor's required; Master's degree in Nursing, MPH or related field preferred. Minimum of three years quality improvement and three years acute clinical care experience preferred.
