Salisbury, MD – Peninsula Regional Health System (PRHS) seeks a collaborative, visible and progressive physician leader to serve as the inaugural Vice President, Clinical Integration.
Peninsula Regional Health System is the largest health system on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The not-for-profit organization features Peninsula Regional Medical Center, the 8th largest hospital in Maryland, and offers the widest array of specialty and subspecialty services on the Eastern Shore. PRHS also serves as the parent company to Peninsula Regional Medical Center Foundation, Inc. and Peninsula Health Ventures, Inc.
The Vice President of Clinical Integration will work across the continuum of care to assist in building out a robust clinical integration and population health infrastructure. This Vice President will support the development of the PRHS clinically integrated network’s strategic direction, prioritizing goals as they relate to community and physician engagement, and care management. He/she will work closely with the Vice President of Population Health, Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Physician Executive of Peninsula Regional Medical Group to evaluate and expand PRHS’ current care model, with focus on expanding into areas that will support risk-based contracts, such as post-acute care, utilization review and case management.
The Vice President of Clinical Integration will be an experienced and clinically credible physician leader who can clearly and comfortably communicate and collaborate with physicians of various backgrounds, administrators at various levels, establishing a culture and system to support a high-performing regional health system.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to lead by influence and example and have a strong commitment to excellence in the care experience from a quality and service aspect, and understand the integration of culture and service in creating a patient-centered care delivery model. He/she will be a physician with a degree from an accredited medical school and appropriate board certification, a record of success gained in progressively responsible leadership roles within a clinically integrated network or in a managed care setting with experience in risk based population health management. Experience within an integrated delivery system, an independent physician association, and/or an accountable care organization is desirable as well.
