Rush Oak Park Hospital is seeking a full-time Quality Improvement Specialist RN to join the ROPH health care team.
The Quality Improvement Specialist RN serves as an expert liaison in quality/performance improvement with the clinical departments related to clinical documentation, clinical monitoring and improvements. Provides leadership in data collection, analysis, presenting the clinical report card at applicable meetings. Serves as a leader and/or mentor in the area of Process Improvement for the organization and implementation of PI processes, as needed. Assist with Root Cause Analysis and quality reviews. Responsible for clinical databases within the quality department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of regulations, standards, operating definitions for evidence based measures, knowledge of National Quality Initiatives such as Leapfrog and Diabetes Management. Excellent data management skills, superior knowledge/execution of Microsoft Office and excellent skills in data analysis and presentation; ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills to meet competing deadlines, ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and excellent communication skills and demonstrating collaborative work ethics as a member of the quality team.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with a minimum of one year in an Acute Care Quality Management setting. Certification/Licensure: Licensed Registered Nurse in State of Illinois. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 8 Hours shift, 80 hours per pay period.
