Under the leadership of the Pharmacy Director, the Sterile Products Compliance Specialist is responsible for the creation, implementation and management of a comprehensive a quality assurance program for pharmaceutical compounding within the Harris Health System. This included the development of a robust monitoring, surveillance and audit program to ensure necessary measures and interpretation of documented results and/or excursions related to environmental monitoring, personnel, standard operating policy and procedure, end product testing and corrective action preventive action plans are handled properly. In conjunction with leadership, the specialist will also manage all workflow design, policy development, accreditation, certification, regulatory compliance and survey activities related to compounding.
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy Required, Pharm D Preferred and Registered with Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Certificate or Training in USP 795, 797 and 800 strongly preferred.
Work Experience (Years and Area): Five (5) years total pharmacy experience required with no less than three years sterile compounding experience required
Management Experience (Years and Area): Two years of applicable Regulatory experience with Leadership experience preferred.
