We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Vice President Medical Affairs / Chief Medical Officer position that will be based in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina at Park Ridge Health in Hendersonville, North Carolina, only 20 miles from Asheville.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is the most senior physician leader across the entire continuum of care for the 103-bed hospital with 32 clinics, over 250 physicians including 90 employed physicians and net patient revenue in excess of $175 million. The hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission.
Regulatory compliance with respect to the medical staff, bylaws, rules and regulations.
Oversees the credentialing process for the medical staff.
Helps facilitate communication and coordination between the medical staff and administration.
Serves on the executive team and coordinates/collaborates with other senior executives.
Maintains clinical practice one day/week.
M.D. / D.O. degree from an accredited program.
Board Certified in recognized medical specialty
Eligible for North Carolina medical license without restriction
MBA or Master’s degree in a related field (Preferred).
At least five years in a physician/executive/leadership role (Preferred).
Experience building relationships with physicians.
Strategic thinking and long-range planning skills.
