Delaware hospice is 35 years young this year
We are a Non-Profit, governed by an all volunteer Board of Trustees.
We had a long time, well respected leader retire unexpectedly this year and we have an opening for Director of Hospice Services.
This Clinical Leadership position will require at least a Master’s degree or the equivalent in experience. RN background is preferred. You will need to be able to travel up and down the state on a routine basis—this is simple to accomplish-- the farthest distance between offices is 65 minutes, tops.
We operate in all three counties of Delaware and in the lower part of Pennsylvania so licensure in both states is necessary.
We would prefer someone local but will consider people who are seeking to relocate.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a leader who is able to help us drive the vision of the organization to all levels.
A leader who is able to communicate, who can be encouraging and motivating to all levels of staff. This Clinical Leader will have a demonstrated skill set of being able to have one foot in the strategic world and one foot in day-to-day operations.
S/he will also have a great sense of humor and remember that while what we do is very serious business, a strong sense of humor can help lighten the load on a bad day.
Attention to compliance, budget and an ability to coach staff and advocate for patients, families and staff as needed --is also important.
Finally, the successful candidate will need to have strong computer skills and an ability to understand the impact of data and how to use it to move the organization in a positive direction.
