Associate Vice President, Regulatory Services: UAB Medicine, Birmingham, AL. UAB Medicine is a highly ranked, not-for-profit, $2.5B integrated delivery system affiliated with University of Alabama, which ranks among the top universities globally in life sciences education and research. UAB Medicine includes the flagship University Hospital, the 1157-bed teaching hospital for the UAB School of Medicine. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Services, UAB Health System, this executive is responsible for driving regulatory services in a multidisciplinary team. The role directs, monitors the regulatory function and interfaces on a regular basis with the leadership of multiple governing operational leadership groups including, but not limited to, the Governing Body of UAB Medicine, COO, UAB Health System, Chief Physician Executive, Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Medical Staff and the Clinical Operations Group (COG). A primary emphasis of this role will be driving the integration of compliance regulatory infrastructure to achieve a streamlined, coordinated platform across key entities in the system. Qualified candidates will have successful track record in leading, integrating and refining compliance/regulatory platforms and supporting teams. Requirements include: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ); MHA/MBA/JD or appropriate graduate degree and a minimum five years of experience in a management or leadership role overseeing regulatory compliance in a complex healthcare delivery system setting such as an academic health system, large teaching hospital or other multi-facility health system.
