Successful candidate will oversee quality data analytics and provide additional support for performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting, and information dissemination. In addition, you will serve as system administrator for the enterprise level quality management system (QMS) computer application, and utilize your project management skills to develop and implement changes that will impact multiple NYBC organizational units and subsidiaries.
Serving as system administrator for the QM system computer application
Gathering and analyzing user requirements, as well as developing and maintaining system configuration, and designing/executing QMS software validation projects
Managing system changes including documentation of business requirements, developing and executing testing scripts, and coordinating user acceptance testing
Designing data queries and reporting that supports business and quality needs
Ensuring new reports meet validation standards and performing ongoing quality assurance of existing reports
Performing data extraction and analysis for use in tracking/trending and process improvements
Ensuring consistency and accuracy of quality data and analysis provided across NYBC and subsidiaries
Preparing training materials and training end-users in use of QMS application
Participating in review and approval of IT related validation studies for NYBC’s regulated systems
Participating in QA and QI activities in support of the QRA Department
Partnering with IT Department on projects and other activities
To qualify, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in health administration, public health or related field, along with 2+ years’ experience performing data management and analysis in a healthcare setting or FDA-regulated work environment, or in support of quality management functions. Familiarity with quality principles/practices, including deviation management, change management, compliant management, CAPA, and process improvement methodologies will be expected, as will a basic understanding of statistical methods applied to a quality management system and basic medical or blood banking terminology. Understanding of IT Change Management processes, knowledge of relational database structures and data reporting concepts are essential. Excellent oral/written communication, analytical, multi-tasking, problem-solving and organizational skills are all required. Proficiency designing, testing and implementing SQL queries and performing data manipulations using tools such as MS Excel and MS Access required.
