At AMGA we’re paving the way for medical groups and integrated systems of care to deliver the next level of high-performance health. We have an opening for a Population Health Analyst, reporting to the Director for the AMGA Collaborative for Performance Excellence.
The primary responsibility of the Population Health Analyst is to support population health data and analytics initiatives for the AMGA Collaborative for Performance Excellence, including creating benchmark reports for collaborative members. This position will work with AMGA member organizations to communicate about benchmarking data and track progress toward improved performance. We are seeking an inquisitive, driven self-starter who takes initiative and knows when to seek guidance.
Required Experience: 1-3 years of experience, preferably in a clinical setting (e.g., medical group, hospital)
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, health analytics, economics, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, information technology/computer science, or other relevant field
Required Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; communication skills including occasional presentations on webinars and at seminars; intermediate-to-advanced user of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience performing data quality control checks. Additional skills which are a plus, but can also be learned on the job: Experience with Tableau or other advanced data visualization software, familiarity with medical terminology, familiarity with ICD-10-CM and CPT coding, experience with SAS, Python or R.
