The future Women’s Health leader will be charismatic, outcome driven change agent, with a tangible passion for bringing out the best in staff, physicians and learners. He/she will manage the clinical, operational, financial and personnel activities of the Women’s Health Service Line, which includes Labor and Delivery, Maternal Newborn, Newborn Observation Unit, and OB Triage.

A Bachelor’s degree in clinical specialty and A Master of Science in a related field is required.
Minimum of four (4) years experience in a hospital setting (or combination hospital and ambulatory history if applying for an ambulatory position). Minimum of two (2) years of managerial or supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Proven leadership and organizational skills required.
Current Missouri license/registration is required where state license/registration is granted.
Candidate must demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and lead multi-disciplinary teams that include nursing, physician, support and ancillary staff. Knowledge and skills in quality improvement and application of best evidence-based practices are necessary. Administrative skills in planning, organizing, scheduling, and financial management are a must. The ideal candidate must be able to perform independently with minimal oversight, be self-motivated, and strategically overcome obstacles to achieve positive outcomes in delivering care to clients of MU Health Care and the broader patient base.
