Assistant Professor of Surgery – Solid Organ Transplant Surgeon University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco, is seeking outstanding candidates for an academic, solid organ transplant surgeon/scientist. Candidates must have completed an ASTS approved fellowship, or will complete the fellowship by August 2019. Requirements include excellent clinical skills in transplantation, including experience in laparoscopic kidney donor procedures. Candidates must also have recognized skills in the education of Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows. This position will be at the Assistant rank in the In Residence series.
This position will also allow for further development of a surgeon scientist, with a potential for protected time to pursue high quality basic science research. Demonstration of previous success in basic science research is essential, and the successful candidate will be expected to pursue independent research funding.
