One of the region’s leading healthcare providers, Inspira Health is seeking an executive-level professional to join its team. The Vice President of Risk Management and Insurance has broad responsibility for protecting Inspira Health and its staff from unexpected loss. This role advises and consults with senior leadership and the Board on potential sources of loss and makes decisions on how to eliminate or minimize risk. This role also oversees the design, implementation and oversight of Inspira Health’s comprehensive insurance program. Major areas of responsibility include all risk program operations, risk reduction and prevention, risk identification and analysis, risk financing, claims management, risk awareness and risk program evaluation and strategy. The Vice President of Risk Management and Insurance also has knowledge of patient care related initiatives to improve outcomes; knowledge of regulatory codes, legal requirements and healthcare law; knowledge of alternate risk financing/insurance programs; process improvement, strategic planning, implementation and evaluation skills, knowledge of clinical and non-clinical loss control and claims administration, and the ability to manage information in a confidential manner with a reputation and ethical conduct that is at the highest standard and beyond reproach.
Master’s degree in a relevant field required; clinical background and RN/MD, JD or MJ preferred
At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare administration with specific experience in risk management/insurance operations
CPHQ or CPHRM designation
