Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks an experienced, collaborative and dynamic academic leader with a substantial record of research, teaching, clinical and administrative accomplishments as its next Chair of Pathology. The Department of Pathology at MCW provides full spectrum Anatomical and Clinical Pathology services, including Pediatric Pathology. The Department has over 40 faculty and 50 staff, disciplined in 19 subspecialties, who provide innovative services, education and training, and research.
The next Chair will be a physician-scientist and accomplished leader in Pathology with experience working within a complex academic health system. S/he will have the in-depth knowledge and ability to effectively lead physicians, researchers, and educators, while embracing the importance of inter-departmental collaboration, quality, customer service and fiscal responsibility.
The successful candidate will be a nationally recognized leader with progressive leadership in a contemporary Department of Pathology. S/he will possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and will be able to promote and maintain momentum and enthusiasm to drive the Department forward. Candidates must hold a medical doctorate degree, board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and possess qualifications for appointment at the Associate Professor level or higher at MCW.
