The Quality Management Coordinator is responsible for a variety of quality compliance activities of the department. These activities include but are not limited to the following: organizational quality metrics, audits required for TJC and CMS standard compliance, core measures, departmental/centers of excellence metrics as required and nursing-sensitive quality measures as required. Incumbent will be responsible for ensuring timely data gathering and reporting as appropriate. Position requires excellent database management skills, medical/surgical nursing experience, ability to function with minimal supervision, ability to mentor new quality management staff.
3-5 years acute care medical/surgical nursing experience(CV surgery or Cardiac ICU preferred). Critical thinking skills. Ability to identify high risk clinical situations/outcomes
Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards/regulations
Excellent knowledge of computer, keyboard and printer
Knowledge of database navigation
EPIC or other electronic health record
Excellent communication skills; Ability to communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers; ability to instruct clinical staff. Professional in all interactions
