This position provides centralized direction, leadership and oversees the accuracy of the coding and provide ongoing education to all coders based on OIG work plans and prior coding audit results. Also assumes the responsibility for successfully meeting the standards and criteria of regulatory, licensing and accrediting agencies including, but not limited to HIPAA, JCAHO standards and CMS. The position is further responsible for providing feedback regarding coding quality and taking necessary steps to improve accuracy in coding. Premier benchmarking is the support system for financial modeling and current budget analysis for discharges annually. Ensure ongoing staff education based on annual regulatory changes and updates as well as audit results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
