Learning Experience Designer - Center for Patient & Professional Advocacy
The Vanderbilt Center for Patient and Professional Advocacy (CPPA) is focused on making medicine kinder, safer, and more reliable through preeminent programs in education, research and service that foster professional accountability and risk prevention.
The Learning Experience Designer is a full-time position that will develop high profile, complex health care presentations and materials to support the faculty in the CPPA. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative team and work directly with physicians and medical staff to develop high-quality presentations, webinars, and other training media.
Ideal candidates will have experience with Learning Management Systems, PowerPoint, and online polling and slide management software, along with an ability to understand the learning objectives as communicated by clinical clients. Writing, editing, and/or graphic design skills are also important. Other desired skills include the ability to be flexible, welcoming input that may result in multiple edits/rewrites, interest in working in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to deliver the highest quality learning programs.
Additionally, the position works with external clients and internal staff to ensure all required educational presentations, handout materials, and AV equipment are available. Will also assist in planning and implementing training courses and workshops.
* Designs effective and engaging in-class, electronic, mobile and virtual learning materials focused heavily on workforce development, workforce performance, credentialing and role-specific learning.
* Selects from a variety of delivery methods and combinations of methods including instructor-led, virtual synchronous and asynchronous environments, mobile learning, video and audio learning, online polling, eLearning, job aids, and performance support materials.
* Utilizes rapid instructional design tools and processes, adult learning theory and experience to understand learning and performance objectives and assessments.
* Provides technologically innovative, engaging, and instructionally sound learning deliverables for customers while partnering with other team members to ensure the most effective and engaging learning.

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 3 years relevant experience
