Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Senior Benchmark Consultant to help us achieve our goals to provide the best quality outcomes for our patients.
SUMMARY: The Senior Benchmark Consultant trains and advises operational, executive, financial and clinical leadership in the utilization of relevant comparative data sources to guide the process of identifying opportunities for improved quality, efficiency and utilization. As a trusted advisor, this individual will support senior management on quality improvement initiatives elevating the understanding of opportunities for improvement and supporting the analysis needed to make effective decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior Benchmark consultant will be tasked with sourcing and reviewing benchmarking data analysis for trends and opportunities related to quality process improvement, organizational efficiency and service intensity. As a subject matter expert, this individual will lead in the development and implementation of performance indicators and reports at both organization and department levels that measure the effectiveness of programs and inform leadership decision-making. The Senior Benchmark Consultant will provide education and training to department leadership related to benchmarking capabilities, review benchmarking vendor documentation, and stay current with changes in benchmarking data repositories. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in business, statistics, finance, MIS, or directly related field required. 3 years direct experience in data and reporting-intensive position with demonstrated results in developing and distributing benchmark data, reports, dashboards and other key indicators required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Project management skills preferred. Experience using Action O-I data (Thompson, Reuters) preferred. MBA or MPH preferred. Black Belt Certification is preferred
