Geisinger is looking for a compassionate and detailed orientated RN who has experience working with the geriatric population for our LIFE Geisinger. LIFE Geisinger is a program for adults 55 and older designed to give seniors the support they need to live at home. LIFE Geisinger offers a full range of health and medical services, at our day centers. Responsible for oversight of the quality management program. Additionally, this role serves as the corporate compliance oversight for the program operations including primary responsibility for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Provides leadership and organizational roles in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality management program.
Develops, monitors and reports Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Plan in collaboration with leadership.
Conducts annual staff, provider and participants satisfaction surveying.
Reviews, revises and communicates the plan to participants, staff, contractors, committees, and Board of Directors on a regularly scheduled basis.
Performs medical chart review on a quarterly and annual basis in all settings.
Maintains and reports complaints and grievances and appeals, and incident reporting including trend analysis for necessary action plans.
Interfaces with regulatory departments to ensure compliance with system requirements and raise awareness of program.
Develops and implements a plan for mandatory and needs-based education for staff and contracted services to the program.
Develops and coordinates annual competency review process for required staff.
Develops tracking mechanism to demonstrate compliance.
Assesses that the areas meets all credentialing standards and ensure quality and efficiency.
Reviews and makes recommendation for policy change as needed to ensure compliance with regulations.
Serves as primary contact to coordinate any scheduled survey visit by state or federal representatives.
Manages site preparation for survey processes by regulatory agencies.
Provides on call coverage rotation to troubleshoot, advise, teach, coordinate and deliver care and service to the participants.
