Senior QA Analyst are looked to as thought leaders and advanced professionals within the QA Team and provide leadership and expertise to the team.
The Senior QA Analyst will provide expert test management of test plan creation and execution within an agile work environment. The Senior QA Analyst will work closely with management to lead our ADI QA test automation initiative and will be solely dedicated to automation. This position requires an experienced Analyst who can effectively partner with all levels of the organization, who can lead others to drive results, and who can proactively identify and resolve challenges. In addition, the Senior QA Analyst will work with leadership in support of our quality initiatives and education.

Key Functions and Expected Performances:
1. With limited supervision, coordinate and oversee all phases of the QA Best Practices Process to ensure all applications development
a. Create Test Requirements Phase which requires identifying testing resources, assembling the testing team, initiating testing effort by distributing project documents and scheduling test team meetings; (as needed). Work with Project team to establish criteria (testing requirements) for testing; using the testing management tool to input all testing requirements; and presenting test requirements to Testing Team and/or Project Team for approval/sign-off.
b. Create Test Plan Phase which requires developing detailed test scenarios that meet defined test requirements; determining how each test scenario should be tested and reach consensus on testing assignments; and distributing a test plan to the Testing and Project Team.
c. Perform Test Process Phase which includes overseeing the execution of each testing scenario by the Testing Team; running test scripts using the test tools; recording all testing Results in the testing management tool; reporting and documenting all defects in the testing management tool; continuously and consistently communicating testing status to the Management and Project Team; and performing regression testing as needed.
d. Perform Close Out Phase which includes attending go-live meetings and participate in project closeout meetings in order to evaluate production problems, obtaining feedback from the Testing Team regarding the testing process, creating testing documentation for other Implementations QA Team members, analyzing current testing process and refining process for continued improvement.
2. Actively identify and participate in training, education, and development activities to improve own knowledge and performance to sustain and enhance professional development.
a. Keep up to date on latest QA test tools, trends, practices, and technological developments, as appropriate.

5. Create thorough manual and automated test scripts.

b. Modify and debug test scripts as needed for changed features.
c. Recommend and analyze changes to new features in relation to application test strategies.
d. Create test scripts for new features and debug current scripts.
6. Work closely with Management to help define and continuously improve quality assurance processes and procedures.
a. Assist with improvements to existing quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure successful implementation from test to production environment.
b. Document quality assurance processes and procedures.
c. Report progress on quality improvement and problem resolution to management.
7. Has advanced knowledge of solid testing techniques and provides technical and analytical guidance to other QA Analysts and Project teams.
Act as information resource about assigned areas to technical writers and other Analysts
Mentor and assist other QA Analysts in their introduction to the IT QA Best Practices Process.
Other Technical Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent combination of training/education and professional experience
5+ years professional experience working in Software Quality Assurance environment
Knowledge of various SDLC processes including agile development and testing
Solid working experience testing with Automation Solutions e.g., Tosca, EggPlant, and Selenium
Assist Management with implementing the automation testing strategy
Experience navigating and steering capabilities with automation tests tools e.g., Tosca, EggPlant, and Ranorex ( a plus )
Execute automation scripts, prepare execution reports, and log defects
Participates in the setup/definition of standard test environments, tests plans, and test scripts.
Ability to lead others on test automation best practices
Experience working with Test Management Solutions (e.g., qTest, ALM, Quality Center, Microsoft Test Manger, etc.)
Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Azure
Certified Automation professional with tools e.g., Tosca, EggPlant ( a plus )
Strong hands-on experience using Tricentis Tosca preferably AS1 and AS2 certified ( a plus )
SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE (INTERMEDIATE): Knows all deliverables of the phase. Strong understanding of how the phase fits into the overall development lifecycle. Develops workplans for the phase with limited review. Identifies unexpected problems and resolves with limited assistance.
TESTING TOOLS (INTERMEDIATE): Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the effective use of testing tools in complex applications. Experienced in all core features of the tools. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of advanced concepts. Uses tools consistently in delivering applications.
TEST PLANNING (INTERMEDIATE): Demonstrates mastery of Test Planning in practical applications of a difficult nature. Assures completeness in test plans making sure that areas of the testing subject [programs, modules, systems] are not overlooked, as well as classes or errors like user interface, calculation, control flow, data interpretation, and hardware. Identifies subtle flaws in test plans and takes action to remedy and report the errors. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering Test Planning products and services without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving technical instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
TESTING AUTOMATION (INTERMEDIATE): Demonstrates mastery of Testing Automation. Knowledgeable of data- and keyword-driven automation frameworks. Demonstrates knowledge of the advanced functions of the Testing Automation tools of the company. Has automated complex compatibility, interoperability, and performance tests. Helps develop test suites for use by other testers.
TEST CASE PREPARATION (INTERMEDIATE): Demonstrates mastery of Test Case Preparation and Design in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully preparing and designing test cases without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving technical instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
