Nicklaus Children's Health System (Nicklaus Children's) seeks a dynamic, transformative and enterprising clinical leader who is passionate about quality and safety to serve as its next Vice President, Chief Quality Officer (CQO). This individual will be the catalyst to lead quality and safety and will strive to instill a culture of clinical excellence across Nicklaus Children's, guiding the organization to new standards of care delivery.
Located in Miami, FL, Nicklaus Children's is a system comprised of the level-I pediatric trauma center and 309?bed flagship institution, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, as well as a network of outpatient and urgent care centers. With net patient revenue approaching $1 billion, the system includes 800 attending physicians and more than 475 pediatric subspecialists. Nicklaus Children's has received many accolades over the years, including designation as a Magnet® facility for nursing excellence and most recently ranked in seven pediatric subspecialty programs by U.S. News & World Report.
Reporting to Matthew Love, Chief Executive Officer of Nicklaus Children's, and working across the system, the CQO will be responsible for setting a vision, strategy, and structure that drives transformation, informed by measured outcomes to fulfill Nicklaus Children's mission and obligation to its patients. This leader will develop a program that is agile in response to quality and safety events, while creating policy and procedures that promote a proactive and strategic approach to continuous improvement. The CQO will partner leadership across the organization to spearhead innovative, strategic, and efficacious safety programs. They will be a champion for a data-driven and evidence-based approach, to transform Nicklaus Children's into a national leader in quality and safety.
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background that includes leadership experience within a health system that is nationally recognized for quality and safety. The CQO will need to possess exceptional relational and team-building skills to achieve mission critical strategies for quality, process improvement and safety.
