UW Health located in Madison, Wisconsin, seeks a passionate, transformative, and enterprising leader to serve as its next Vice President, Quality and Patient Safety. As a dyad partner to the Chief Quality Officer, this individual will assist in the optimization of a culture of clinical excellence across UW Health, strengthening the organization's approach to excellent care delivery that is remarkably safe and of the highest clinical quality.
Working across a complex and matrixed academically anchored health system, the VP will be responsible for collaboratively setting and implementing a vision, strategy, and structure that drives a transformation to a just culture and high reliability, informed by measured outcomes to UW Health's mission and obligation to its patients. The VP will partner with department chairs, clinical and administrative leaders across the enterprise to spearhead innovative, strategic, and efficacious safety programs across all specialties and modalities of care. They will be a champion for a data-driven and evidence-based approach to maintaining UW Health's position as a national leader in quality and safety.
The successful candidate will be a leader with a proven track record in a high-performing health system. They will be regarded as an organizational champion for quality and patient safety. The candidate must have knowledge and training in just culture, quality improvement, change management, and a dedication to utilizing data to drive system-based improvements through process and technology. The candidate must have a track record of leadership and in the implementation of a just culture. An advanced degree in healthcare management, informatics, or quality is desired.
