Registered Nurse (Infection Control Coordinator)
The Infection Control Coordinator (ICC) is a professional registered nurse in the Quality, Safety and Value Section. The ICC, in collaboration with the Infection Control Team and the Hospital Epidemiologist, is accountable for multiple facets of the NMVAHCS Infection Control Program. The ICC is responsible for ensuring that the infection control program is developed and implemented in accord with VHA and VAMC policy and guidance. The ICC demonstrates initiative and leadership in managing, evaluating and improving patient care as it relates to the practice of infection surveillance, prevention and control in collaboration with others and ensures compliance with all external regulatory agencies.
