Summary
Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group- is seeking a full-time 1.0 FTE Clinical Outcomes Analyst to join our WPMG HQ team in Renton, Washington.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Population Health, the Clinical Outcomes Analyst is responsible for providing support for performance measurement, data analytics, and internal and external HEDIS and quality reporting. Major responsibilities include developing analytic reports on a regular and ad hoc basis to assist in identifying clinical outcomes, tracking specified patients/populations and conditions that assist in the clinical and cost management of these patients, supporting quality improvement projects and initiatives, measuring outcomes of programmatic interventions as needed, reviewing literature for relevant background information, performing data analyses and working collaboratively with health plan partners to improve clinical quality performance rates. Produces regular monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external customers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops analytics (reports, dashboards, ad-hoc queries) to support and drive improvement for WPMG Quality Department.
- Keep abreast of industry changes on programs affecting quality, disease management and incentive programs
- Monitor health plan quality results; conduct routine audits/validation of health plan data to address low performing measures.
- Provides insight into recommendations for technical solutions that meet design and functional needs.
- Partners with medical and business leaders to translate clinical and business requirements and functional specifications into technical solutions within Tableau or in ad hoc reports.
- Assists in identification of specific interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions, as required, to support technical solutions.
- Reviews and validates technical specifications and documentation.
- Provides implementation and post-implementation triage and support.
- Reviews and makes changes to technical specifications and documentation.
- Develops and executes unit testing to identify application errors and ensure software solutions meet functional specifications.
- Writes technical specifications and documentation.
- Ensures new and existing software solutions are developed with insight into industry best practices, strategies, and architectures.
- Builds partnerships with IT teams and vendors to ensure solutions adhere architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Demonstrates very strong customer-service and communications skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
