The role you’ll contribute:
The Infection Control RN manages & leads the hospital Infection Control and Prevention Programs for Adventhealth Gordon & Murray campuses. Developing and implementing policies governing control of infections and communicable diseases along with developing a system for identifying, reporting, investigating and controlling infections and communicable diseases.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Utilizes Centers for Disease Control & Prevention criteria to identify and evaluate selected nosocomial infections, and to differentiate between nosocomial and community acquired infections
Collects, aggregates and analyzes nosocomial infection data
Implements and instructs staff regarding prevention measures to be implemented to contain the spread of infection or disease to patients, visitors and staff
Reviews cases of epidemiological significant organisms
Identifies outbreaks and clusters of significant infection
Reviews isolation cases to assess appropriateness, identify compliance issues and identify practices that may result in the spread of infection
