Registered Nurse (Patient Safety)
The Patient Safety Nurse is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and trending patient safety information to initiate system changes based on current concepts. The Patient Safety Nurse provides support to the Patient Safety Manager by implementing processes for Root Cause Analysis, Patient Safety Incident Reporting, National Patient Safety Goals, Joint Commission Sentinel Events, Patient Safety Alerts, and Safe Medical Device Act. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. English Language Proficiency.
