Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced analyst to support our Quality & Safety Department and to continue to expand and improve our team's analytic capability. You'll join a diverse team of informatics, data science and analytical professionals who work collaboratively or independently as required. If you are an experienced analyst who is excited about working with a variety of clinical and business stakeholders in a dynamic, high paced working environment, this is the team for you! This role will be responsible for Quality & Safety projects that include data extraction, validation, reporting, analysis, documentation, and implementation of solutions as they apply to the organization's strategy. Responsible for performing tasks related to report development including requirements gathering, specification and definition documentation, design, testing, validation, analysis, and maintenance. This includes a variety of analytic projects such as data mart development via SQL, reporting out of internal databases or 3rd party software, the summarization and interpretation of the analysis and working closely with our Quality & Safety stakeholders.
Job Duties
- Gathers data requirements and defines scope independently on projects of all size.
- Supports all team Analysts in this task across projects.
- Facilitates gathering scope requirements in large projects across multiple analysts.
- Plans and leads projects and provides time and effort estimates based on requirements gathering.
- Mentors other analysts as needed in data gathering and development, reporting, deriving insights from analytics, project planning and time/effort estimation.
- Locates and identifies data needs and profiles the data to determine quality and appropriateness, understands necessary manipulation and relationships to be established, and recognizes how to transform the data set to establish what is needed for next stage Quality & Safety analytics and reporting.
- Mastery of Quality & Safety data literacy - able to identify and derive key insights from data.
- Educate others on key data literacy concepts.
- Responsible for following data governance and stewardship practices as defined.
- Performing documentation and discovery associated with these initiatives.
- Identifying data quality issues while performing data profiling and testing/validation.
- Act as a Quality & Safety data steward and resolve issues or work with appropriate parties to have issues resolved and documented.

Position Details
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience utilizing 3rd party quality benchmarking data systems (e.g. Premier, Vizient, CMS's Care Compare, etc.)
- Knowledge of risk adjusted patient outcome data (Mortality, Readmissions, Complications, Length of Stay)
- Knowledge of CMS Regulatory Programs
- MS SQL
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
Experience
Minimum of 10 years-Relevant experience* (Required)
