The Infection Preventionist and Infection Control Nurse is a professional registered nurse at the VA Pacific Health Care System (VAPIHCS) who works within the Quality, Safety and Value Service. The Infection Preventionist/Infection Control Nurse manages a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary program designed to educate, monitor, prevent, and control infections and their adverse effects on patients, employees, trainees, volunteers, and visitors. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
