The Patient Safety Manager (PSM) functions as one of the lead managers and implementer of patient safety policies and activities developed by the National Center for Patient Safety (NCPS) and is one of the facility's key staff members to help build and implement patient safety systems and promote the culture of safety within VA facilities and for VA patients in all healthcare settings.
