The incumbent functions as a Patient Safety Specialist, Quality Management and Performance Improvement at the Memphis VA Medical Center under the oversight of the Patient Safety Manager but reports directly to the Chief of Quality Management. The incumbent is a key person to help build and implement patient safety systems and promote the culture of safety within the Memphis VAMC for patients in all healthcare settings. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
