Job Summary
In conjunction with the medical directors, evaluates the quality of health care rendered by the organization by leading the Peer Review team. . Responsible for coordinating and supporting performance improvement activities and identifying ongoing data and information system needs. Participates in the Safety and Clinical Equipment and Operations teams.
Job Duties
Collects and compiles data from the program to help with improving patient care and patient outcomes.
Abstracts and records data through chart review for purposes of performance improvement activities, risk management and research.
Reviews and monitors occurrences, quality triggers and quality of care concerns observing for problems or patterns affecting the quality of care for appropriate Peer Review protected action.
Develops data collection tools, data collection, summarization of data and reporting of findings in a Peer Review protected process.
Prepares and submits monthly Performance Improvement Reports.
Provides modification to forms and procedures to ensure accuracy of data collection.
Provides education and instruction on data collection updates.
Maintains appropriate records of all performance improvement activities.
Performs in house reviews to assist with ongoing performance improvement efforts.
