The Vice President of Quality will lead Embark’s continued efforts in designing and deploying the behavioral health system's approach to quality and safety across the continuum of care. As an executive, this leader will also be key to capacity-building t during the organization’s expansion efforts while advancing the quality and safety of clinical care delivery across the entire enterprise.
This position is located at Embark's support office in Chandler, AZ. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities
In collaboration with the executive leadership across Embark, recommend strategic objectives for improving quality processes and outcomes, safety and value that align with the national leader strategy and strategic plan for client-centered care.
Develop, deploy, and provide ongoing support of the quality, safety, diversity, compliance, and risk programs that are aligned with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards.
Ensure that the Compliance Program effectively prevents and/or detects violation of law, regulations, organization policies, or the Code of Conduct.
Develop, implement, and operate retaliation-free reporting channels, including an anonymous telephone reporting system available to all employees, volunteers, and affiliated providers.
Ensure that the internal controls are capable of preventing and detecting significant instances or patterns of illegal, unethical, or improper conduct by employees, agents, affiliated providers, or others working with the organization.
Develop and continuously update as needed a reliable, timely and streamlined innovation, safety, and quality information reporting system to provide clinical and administrative leadership with the information necessary to monitor clinical effectiveness program performance.
Plan and implement continuous improvement initiatives to achieve clinical and service excellence across the continuum that demonstrates an overall standard of high-quality outcomes as characterized by best practices, evidenced-based guidelines and objectively measure against national benchmarks.
Collaborates on building a learning organization that prioritizes personal and professional growth through knowledge transfer and various types of educational experiences (e.g., online, blended, self-guided, coaching, mentoring).
Qualifications
Experience in health care setting required with progressive levels of responsibility required. Senior management-level experience in behavioral health with an emphasis on quality assessment, performance improvement, safety, program management, regulatory and risk management.
Plan, prioritize, organize, analyze, execute on multiple tasks independently and in collaboration with other departments, providing direction and setting expectations consistent with the quality and safety goals of the organization.
Exceptional knowledge and experience in quality improvement including robust process improvement, regulatory environment, external agencies, healthcare delivery, public reporting and pay for performance (value-based reimbursement, targeted investments, and performance-based reimbursement).
Strong financial and business acumen including knowledge of budgeting and forecasting methodologies. Effectively manage resources within the area(s) of responsibility including budgeting, forecasting, workforce management, productivity, supplies, and other resources.
Ability to collaborate with Embark leadership and the Human Resources Department to ensure a workforce with high ethical standards.
Knowledgeable of the federal and state laws regarding documentation, reporting, and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA).
Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with various individuals both inside and outside the organization; and able to understand and create reports/presentations/proposals.
Possesses strong leadership skills including accountability, coaching, educating, inspiring, forging alliances, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Understands of basic computer software and hardware.
Ability to adapt to changes in direction and priorities.
