The role you’ll contribute:
The Executive Director of Clinical Services, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, is responsible for partnering with a variety of functional groups to refine and develop processes while creating and driving the strategic plans for the organization’s value-based, transformative changes necessary to remain successful in the face of healthcare’s evolving, complex changes. The Executive Director leads partnerships with key stakeholders including physicians and advanced practitioners, and other leaders across our care continuum to implement, track, monitor and improve AdventHealth quality and provider performance initiatives. The Executive Director builds strategic plans for improving the quality of electronic medical records and/or all related software to improve care in the clinics. The Executive Director utilizes clinical expertise and relationship management to influence AHMG practices with a goal to refine and develop processes required to remain viable in today complex healthcare environment. This position is also responsible for overseeing the tactical planning necessary for the successful education, training, system, integration, deployment, and reporting associated with ensuring high quality of care, financial stewardship, operational elegance, and provider culture and wellness.

Strengthens and optimizes the workflow effort, advising on optimum structures and helping to build-out dedicated teams and deliverables for practice operations.
Builds strategic plans for improving the quality of electronic medical records via the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and/or related software to improve care in the clinics.
Facilitates activities across the functional teams to scope the project, identify resource requirements, articulate deliverables and develop timetables in partnership with project managers.
Oversees the planning an implementation of education, training and communication associated with the deployment and continued success of new initiatives.
Identifies clinical integration opportunities.
Supports the medical group risk management area, works collaboratively with the AdventHealth system risk team, and coordinate communication and processes necessary to ensure compliance to risk management accountabilities.
Ensures high quality care and excellent customer service; working to make improvements as necessary.
Is a leadership resource for management and team to achieve AHMG specific and organizational goals and accountabilities. Reviews data and engages with AHMG leadership, AdventHealth hospital campus leadership, and other entities to meet dashboards and scorecards, as applicable. Creates action plans to achieve positive outcomes.
Communicating and collaborating closely with other components of AdventHealth for transitions of care and other departments and programs (e.g., Physician Enterprise, PHSO, ACS, and AIT) to assure that AHMG fully realizes its potential for innovative, high quality, effective and efficient care delivery; and performing other related duties as assigned.
Accountable for assuring compliance and providing evidence of performance with the State of Florida regulatory agencies, basic Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations, as well as other local, state, and federal agencies, regulatory, and accrediting bodies and applicable policies and procedures.
Ensures that all practices within scope of responsibility operate within allocated budget.
Prepares, executes, and monitors operating budgets to ensure appropriate staffing, professional development, space, supplies, equipment, etc., for maintaining and improving quality of service and performance standards as applicable within scope of responsibility.
Analyzes data from all inputs that relate to quality, cost, and care coordination and prepare comprehensive reports and updates for executive/leadership review.
Develops and implements initiatives, processes, and systems and creates goals that align with organizational and operational strategies, supporting organizational initiatives.
Encourages business growth and development by actively seeking out new opportunities to increase referrals, and market share.
Acts as change agent; utilizing change theory to plan for the implementation of organizational change.
Develops action plans; leads and supports practice/process change, performance improvement activities, etc.
Responsible for the oversight of quality, clinical excellence, EHR training analytics team(s) and corresponding initiatives, projects and goals.
Participates in workforce planning and employment decisions; champions a diverse workforce, interprets, and evaluates employee satisfaction and quality of work surveys to achieve positive outcomes.
Establishing, implementing, and managing staffing of assigned areas to meet the models of care and is consistently applied to meet organizational objectives.
Assesses plans to address issues such as ethnic, cultural and diversity changes in the population; political and social influences; financial and economic issues; aging of society and demographic trends; ethical issues and environmental influences on health.
Accepts organizational accountability for scope of practice outcomes; holds leadership and staff accountable for outcomes and work performed, including performance improvement outcomes.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience of healthcare leadership experience
Minimum of five (5) years of quality and outcomes management experience
Current, valid State of Florida license in one of the following: Nursing
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
Experience in a large, multi-specialty physician group
Certification in a relevant performance improvement or project management methodology
