Join BJC Health system supporting safety and compliance for Washington University Research trials at BJC hospitals.
Be the subject matter expert for clinical trial safety and compliance within BJC hospitals, ensuring protocol is in compliance with hospital policy and procedure and other hospital regulations. This requires reading and understand the clinical trials in detail.
Serve as a hospital point of contact for Washington University researchers and assist with questions about operating their study in hospital space. Facilitate communication between research teams and nurse mangers to discuss operationalization of research in the clinical space.
Requirements
This is a clinical position - Bachelors Degree and licensed Registered Nurse is required!
Ideal candidate will have 5 years of RN working experience and 2 years of research experience/knowledge.
Schedule
Monday through Friday normal business hours.
Location
Local hybrid (AWS), must reside in the St. Louis area in Missouri or Illinois.
Occasional on-site meetings and/or trainings in the St. Louis area each month.

Role Purpose
This position will assist with the development and implementation of foundational documents and processes for the BJC Research Safety & Compliance Program. This position will support this systemwide program to help ensure that clinical trials and other research related activities are conducted in a safe, ethical, and compliant manner with consideration for BJC health service organization (HSO) resources and operations. This position will help facilitate the processes and coordination required to initiate complex clinical study protocols safely and in compliance with regulations, standards, policies and guidelines applicable to research conducted in BJC HSOs. Certification in Health Care Research Compliance (CHRC) or equivalent within two years.
