The role you’ll contribute:
Coordinates the receipt and processing of incident reports and patient complaints, analyzing and reporting risk management data, conducting clinical risk management educational offerings, interfacing with defense legal counsel, and complying with regulatory and accreditation agency risk management standards, all with the objective of controlling and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Interacts with users of EMS/ERS system to ensure proper reporting, investigation and documentation.
- Analyzes events, identifies patterns and prepares monthly report to identify trends and risk issues.
- Participates in the preparation/submission of the annual report to AHCA per FL Chapter 395.002
- Immediately reports any serious events involving injury to patients, visitors or associates. Works with leadership using established criteria to determine whether a serious safety event has occurred.
- Identify events that meet Code 15 criteria and submits the report to AHCA within required timeframe.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in healthcare risk management/quality
- Florida RN license
