The role youâ™ll contribute:
The Patient Safety Organization (PSO) Program Coordinator ensures effective and efficient coordination of processes and deliverables related to PSO patient safety initiatives including Member Support, Member Education, and Analytic Services.The PSO Program Coordinator acts as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders of all PSO patient safety initiatives.These initiatives are central to the mission of the PSO and the PSO Program Coordinator will play a primary role in ensuring the PSO meets or exceeds the expectations of our membership while preserving and enhancing relationships with our contractors.Under the direction of the PSO Program Manager, the PSO Program Coordinator is also responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, and management of the AdventHealth Patient Safety Evaluation System (PSES) in accordance with all of the requirements set forth by the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005 (PSQIA).
The value that you bring to the team:
·As the assigned Liaison back-up between AdventHealth and the PSO, the Program Coordinator will accurately and timely document and support the management of the AdventHealth PSES while ensuring compliance with all regulations set forth by the PSQIA for the purpose of operationalizing patient safety and quality efforts as they relate to PSO membership.
·Under the direction of the PSO Program Manager, the PSO Program Coordinator will effectively maintain and update documentation for the AdventHealth PSES including, but not limited to, a comprehensive PSES Policy and Procedure Manual, an operational plan, component management forms, staff education records, and receipt and disclosure of confidential Patient Safety Work Product (PSWP) using organizational methods to define and operate the AdventHealth PSES.
·Under the direction of the PSO Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will ensure satisfaction of PSQIA regulations for the AdventHealth PSES including proper identification and labeling of PSWP and PSES boundaries, systematic reporting of PSWP to the PSO, identification of applicable PSWP as deliberations and analysis, secure and confidential maintenance of PSWP, appropriate disclosure of PSWP, timely and accurate delivery of PSO feedback to component owners and other documentation requirements using organizational methods to ensure the PSES is highly functional for legal challenges or for PSES review by AdventHealth PSO.
·Coordinates the accurate and timely delivery of reports and other PSO deliverables to PSO members on a regular basis and as requested.
·Functions as primary point of contact and coordinator of the AdventHealth PSO Member Support Program.The coordinator will conduct all logistical aspects of this program including, but not limited to, the delivery of educational content, toolkits, and templates to support each memberâ™s PSES, the PSES Review initiative, consultative Liaison calls for each PSO member, facilitation of local, regional, and national PSO meetings and education, system-wide conferences, and individualized on-site visits.
·Coordinates all aspects of the PSES Review initiative to ensure completion of a timely and comprehensive on-site PSES Review for new PSO members, annual PSES Reviews for current PSO members, and timely communication of PSES Review scores for inclusion in system-wide scorecards.
·Under the direction of the PSO Program Manager, the PSO Program Coordinator will support the PSES review team before, during, and after each PSES Review assessment via coordination of on-site and virtual meetings with representatives of PSO members, timely delivery of professional and accurate comprehensive and executive reports, and consistent and clear communication to the PSES Review team and the PSO member.
·Functions as primary point of contact and coordinator of the AdventHealth PSO Education Program for all AdventHealth PSO members.The PSO Program Coordinator will ensure the timely delivery and documentation of educational programming such as C-suite training, Immersion training, Data Administration training and PSO Liaison Orientation for all new PSO members and as needed for role-based turnover across the system.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences youâ™ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
·Bachelorâ™s degree in a healthcare discipline
·Minimum of 2 years work experience in a health care setting such as a hospital or large physician group, medical staff office or peer review experience preferred
·Experienced with successful coordination of multiple, simultaneous, and ongoing projects
·Demonstrated experience with an organized approach to program coordination including the use of well-organized files, systems, daily agendas and weekly schedules
·Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with internal and external customers at all levels of staff and leadership
Preferred qualifications:
·Experience with program and project coordination related to Patient Safety and Quality, Risk Management, Peer Review, and Performance Improvement
·Familiarity with regulatory requirements pertaining to the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005, specifically related to Patient Safety Evaluation System documentation
·Critical thinking skills, problem resolution and affinity for creating efficient and effective processes that support program development and operations
·Project Management
