Pay Range: $29.36 - $47.79 per hour

Summary:
Overseeing process improvement initiatives in research at RUSH, including items related to compliance across areas performing research activities. This role implements and supports actions that are developed to assess, mitigate, and remedy compliance issues related to research activities. This role involves the development of sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements. This individual works collaboratively across the Office of Research Affairs with various research departments and research study teams (nurses, physicians, and coordinators) in a continuous pursuit to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and mandates related to research for the safety and benefit of patients and study teams. This individual will also participate in change management activities related to the implementation of new processes and standards in partnership with research leadership. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant work experience in Process Improvement, and/or Research, and/or Project
management experience required.
•Ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Strong adaptability, interpersonal, and communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
•Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data using Excel.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
•Project management experience including Lean management training.
•Experience with PowerPoint presentations and public speaking.
Responsibilities:
•Develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
•Analyzes and interprets data and formulates recommendations.
•Reviews EQuiP audits of all clinical trial areas and works with the office of research affairs, the AVP for
clinical research, compliance, and study team personnel to mitigate and remedy compliance issues.
•Functions as a process improvement leader on assigned projects/ initiatives
•Manages, plans, and executes process improvement activities utilizing process improvement methodology.
•Partners with multidisciplinary teams to execute and drive process improvement opportunities.
•Provides project management for process improvement initiatives for researchers, departments, and/or committees.
•Creates optimal and standardized practices for study teams.
•Leads study team personnel in the creation of standard processes and standard work.
•Creates analytical tools for the Office of Research Affairs to ensure continuous monitoring of all clinical studies across the Rush portfolio.
•Participates in organizational committees and process improvement teams.
•Completes special projects assigned by departmental leaders within agreed-upon time-frames and makes recommendations based on information gained from the special request.
•Participates in strategic planning within the department and works in partnership with the AVP clinical research to identify areas for improvement related to current/future systems and operations.
