Provides leadership, ownership and support of the Peer Review process. Assures that the Medical Staff and Multidisciplinary Peer Review Committee is effective in evaluating issues related to professional practice.
The Peer Review Coordinator will assure that Medical Staff Leadership and the Multidisciplinary Peer Review Committee members have access to accurate clinical summaries, data trending, reports and analysis and is responsible for supporting or facilitating associated Committees and Medical Department Meetings.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field, and a minimum 3 years of Acute Care clinical experience.
Analytical skills necessary in order to gather and analyze data, prepare reports, and recommend appropriate action plans and evaluate results.
Intermediate level skills in word processing, spreadsheets and other computer programs desirable.
Effective written and verbal communications skills and able to communicate effectively in a public forum.
Data analysis and presentation skills.
Ability to operate a personal computer, medical staff database, and standard office equipment.
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
