Description
Carle Health seeks a Clinical Department Manager to lead operations in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will oversee clinical staff, patient flow, and day-to-day operations to ensure safe, high-quality care. You will manage budgets, staffing, and quality initiatives while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, you will drive performance improvement, support evidence-based practice, and foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and professional growth that aligns with Carle Health’s community-focused mission.Oversee daily operations of Healthcare & Medical Services department to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
Lead, coach, and evaluate clinical staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth
Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
Monitor clinical quality, patient safety indicators, and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, CMS, state)
Manage staffing plans, scheduling, and workload to meet patient volume and acuity needs
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
Oversee departmental budget, resource allocation, and efficient use of clinical supplies and equipment
Analyze performance metrics and patient feedback to drive process and outcome improvements
Support implementation of evidence-based practice, clinical pathways, and new care models
Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and leadership regarding services and outcomes

BLS required; ACLS preferred depending on department
