Description
Hartford Healthcare is seeking a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Coordinator to lead quality and patient safety initiatives across our healthcare network. In this role, you will coordinate QA/PI projects, analyze clinical and operational data, monitor key performance indicators, and support compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement process improvements, educate staff on quality methods, and track outcomes to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a culture of teamwork, compassion, and excellence.Lead and coordinate quality assurance and performance improvement (QA/PI) projects across assigned departments
Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Develop, monitor, and report quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Support compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory and accreditation requirements
Facilitate interdisciplinary quality improvement teams and workgroups
Develop and implement action plans, workflows, and process changes to improve patient outcomes and safety
Provide education and coaching to staff on quality tools, methodologies, and best practices
Prepare clear reports and presentations for leadership, committees, and regulatory surveys
Participate in incident reviews, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning
Collaborate with information systems and clinical leaders to optimize quality data capture and reporting tools
Quality assurance in healthcare
Performance improvement methodologies (PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma)
Data analysis and statistical interpretation
Healthcare quality metrics and KPIs
Regulatory and accreditation compliance (Joint Commission, CMS)
Root cause analysis and incident investigation
Project management
Clinical workflow and patient safety principles
Quality reporting and dashboard tools (e.g., Excel, EHR reporting, BI tools)
Technical writing and presentation of quality reports
Medical Insurance

Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred or other clinical licensure
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement training preferred

Experience with quality reporting and healthcare data analytics tools
