Description
Hartford Healthcare seeks a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Coordinator to lead quality initiatives within our Quality Assurance & Testing department. In this role, you will design, implement, and monitor performance improvement projects, analyze clinical and operational data, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify gaps, develop corrective action plans, and track outcomes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in data analysis, and passionate about advancing patient safety and care quality within a collaborative, mission-driven environment.Plan, coordinate, and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
Analyze clinical, operational, and patient safety data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Develop, implement, and track corrective action plans and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and internal quality standards.
Prepare and present quality and performance dashboards, reports, and metrics to leadership.
Facilitate interdisciplinary quality improvement teams and workgroups.
Support readiness for surveys, audits, and external reviews (e.g., Joint Commission).
Educate staff on quality standards, performance metrics, and improvement methodologies.
Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to embed best practices into workflows.
Use quality and project management tools (e.g., PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma) to drive sustained improvement.
Quality improvement methodologies (PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma)
Data analysis and interpretation (Excel, BI tools)
Healthcare quality metrics and benchmarking
Regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS)
Root cause analysis and corrective action planning
Project management
Clinical workflow understanding within hospitals/healthcare systems
Report and dashboard development
Policy and procedure development
Presentation and facilitation skills
