Description
Northern Nevada Medical Center seeks a Quality Coordinator to support clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you’ll collect and analyze quality data, assist with performance improvement projects, support accreditation readiness, and collaborate with clinical teams to improve outcomes. You’ll educate staff on quality initiatives, track key quality indicators, and help drive a culture of patient-centered, high-reliability care in a collaborative, community-focused hospital environment.Collect, validate, and analyze clinical quality and patient safety data
Prepare quality reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and committees
Support performance improvement and patient safety initiatives across departments
Assist with regulatory and accreditation readiness (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS)
Coordinate audits, tracers, and corrective action follow-up
Educate and coach staff on quality metrics, policies, and best practices
Monitor key performance indicators and help identify trends and opportunities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on root cause analysis and improvement plans
Maintain accurate documentation and records for quality programs
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care
Healthcare quality improvement
Data collection and analysis
Clinical quality metrics (e.g., core measures, patient safety indicators)
Regulatory and accreditation knowledge (Joint Commission, CMS)
Root cause analysis and problem solving
Performance improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA)
Medical terminology and clinical workflow understanding
Report writing and dashboard creation (Excel or similar tools)
Presentation and staff education skills
Electronic medical record (EMR) familiarity
